ECO-friendly packaging.
Canned Emergency Drinking Water uses environmentally friendly steel cans for packaging which, unlike PET plastic bottles, can be 100 % recycled and even deteriorate when placed in landfills through bio-degrading.
This makes canned water a superior product in terms of packing and environmental impact. Studies have shown that over 90 % of plastic water bottles never get recycled and end up in landfills, where they will last for centuries without breaking down. |
Steel cans offer the added advantage of being usable as cooking pots during and after emergencies. Once opened, the cans can be used to heat food, drink water, and use as a serving dish.
During Emergency and Disaster Recovery, the metal skin can also be used to improvise and fabricate needed products with, thus making the entire can usable even once emptied.
Our commitment to the environment continues by selecting bio-degradable materials for packing and shipping of the cans as well. All 25 to 30 year shelf life emergency water cans are packed in cardboard boxes that have been made from partially recycled paper material and that can in turn be recycled yet again. Our water cases are packed and shipped on reusable wood pallets or plastic pallets made from previously recycled materials and that in turn are reusable and recyclable as well.
